The Spotlight Theatre is a 120-seat space with large-screen (16/9) projection in which
to enjoy archival film and video footage from the Hockey Hall of Fame Archives including:
Stanley Cup highlight reels and other unique hockey films and videos.
With its movable seating and walls and state-of-the-art audio and visual system, the theatre also provides a versatile venue for other activities, including corporate receptions, dinners, awards banquets, product demonstrations, press conferences, seminars,
board meetings, etc.

For a limited time only, guests can relive the most famous series in all of hockey. Located in the Spotlight Theatre, this special display pays tribute to the 1972 Summit Series between Team Canada and the Soviet Union. Guests can also experience the epic series through archival film and video footage on the Spotlight Theatre's large projection screen.
Among the artifacts on display are:
- Stick used by Paul Henderson to score the game-winning goal in the eighth and deciding game
- Pants worn by Soviet goaltender Vladislav Tretiak throughout the series
- Stick used by Peter Mahovlich to score a brilliant, short-handed goal in the series' second game
